James E. Brunson III, a native Chicagoan, has exhibited his paintings, prints, and drawings throughout the Midwest and Southern United States. He has taught in the Northern Illinois University Art department, and received his Master of Fine Arts Degree in Painting and Drawing from the same institution. Among his notable exhibitions include the Texas Watercolor Society, Edgewood College Watercolor Show, Watercolor U.S.A., and the Museum of Science and Industry Black Creativity Show. His work has been purchased by many private and corporate collections, including the Supreme Life Insurance Company.
His prints, note cards, and paintings are selling in such places as The Listenbee Collection (Chicago), the Shrine of the Black Madonna Gallery (Detroit), and Litho’s Gallery (St. Louis).
